THRIVE

Healthier people. Safer choices. Stronger communities.

Health, prevention, wellbeing and resilience

THRIVE is Wemiji’s Integrated Community Health, Prevention & Resilience Programme, designed to improve community health, safety and resilience through prevention, trusted information, safer medicine use and stronger local systems.

The challenge

What stands in the way

Underserved communities can face overlapping barriers including low access to trusted health information, delayed care-seeking, unsafe medicine practices, prevention gaps, WASH challenges and limited community capacity to sustain health action.

Our response

What THRIVE does

THRIVE prioritises prevention, community participation, trusted information, practical tools, referral awareness, local leadership and evidence. It complements, rather than replaces, existing health systems and qualified providers.

Who we serve

Who the programme is for

Underserved rural and peri-urban communities, prioritising women, children, adolescents, older people and other vulnerable groups.

The change we are working towards

These are aims, not results. Verified results will be published on our Impact page as evidence becomes available.

  • Access. Communities have better access to trusted health information and referral awareness.
  • Capability. People are equipped for safer medicine use and preventive health action.
  • Resilience. Communities are better able to sustain health action and respond to challenges.
Measurement & learning

We use monitoring, evaluation and learning to understand progress, identify what needs to improve and inform future programme decisions.

Safeguarding

THRIVE works with communities, including women, children, adolescents and older people. Safeguarding is a core responsibility across programme design and delivery, and participants are treated with dignity and respect.

Sustainability & scale

We work to strengthen local ownership and build pathways for longer-term change, strengthening what works.

Partnership

Help THRIVE go further

Funders, businesses, institutions, technical partners and community organisations can support THRIVE through funding, expertise, mentorship, resources or programme collaboration.

There is more than one way to make a difference.
