Yewande Ajayi is the Founder and Executive Director of Wemiji Helping Hands Initiatives, where she provides strategic leadership in advancing the organisation’s mission to create healthier, empowered, and more resilient communities.

With a professional background spanning public health, medicine safety, healthcare, and community development, she brings a multidisciplinary perspective to social impact. Her leadership spans Wemiji’s programmes, including girls’ empowerment, education and opportunity, community development, health and wellbeing, skills development, and other initiatives designed to address the needs of underserved communities.

As Executive Director, she provides strategic direction for programme development, partnerships, fundraising, organisational growth and stakeholder engagement. She is passionate about creating practical opportunities for individuals and communities to thrive, while building sustainable programmes that deliver meaningful and lasting impact.

Through her leadership, Yewande is committed to positioning Wemiji as a credible, people-centred organisation that develops solutions to real community needs and creates opportunities for individuals to achieve their potential.

Olusola is a dedicated fundraising and development professional with experience supporting non-governmental organisations and community-focused initiatives in Nigeria and beyond. He brings expertise in grant writing, donor and partner relationship management, fundraising strategy, campaign coordination, and data management.

As Fundraising Manager at Wemiji, he supports the organisation’s resource mobilisation efforts by identifying funding opportunities, developing compelling proposals, building relationships with donors and partners, and coordinating fundraising initiatives that advance Wemiji’s programmes and impact.

Driven by a strong commitment to social development and community impact, he contributes to strengthening Wemiji’s sustainability and expanding its ability to reach underserved and vulnerable communities.

Olamide Adekola is a Programme Manager with experience in planning, coordinating, and delivering community development projects and programmes. She has worked with diverse teams, volunteers, community leaders, and partner organisations across different locations, managing projects from concept development and budgeting through implementation, monitoring, and reporting. Passionate about social impact and community development, she brings strong organisational, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills to her work.

Busayo leads Wemiji’s marketing and communications team, driving creative and strategic initiatives that strengthen the organisation’s brand, visibility, and audience engagement. As a graphics designer, video editor, and marketing professional, he develops compelling visual and multimedia content while supporting campaigns that effectively communicate Wemiji’s programmes, stories, and impact.

Olubisi supports the effective coordination and delivery of Wemiji’s programmes and operations. She contributes to programme planning, administrative coordination, record management and stakeholder engagement, helping to ensure that organisational activities are delivered efficiently, accurately and in line with Wemiji’s objectives.

Emmanuel plays a key role in supporting the delivery of Wemiji’s programmes and initiatives. He contributes to programme planning, activity coordination, implementation, monitoring, and stakeholder engagement, helping to ensure that projects are delivered effectively and achieve meaningful impact in the communities Wemiji serves.

Gbenga supports Wemiji’s publicity and communications activities by creating engaging, audience-focused content and compelling stories that enhance the organisation’s visibility and public engagement. He contributes to strategic communications, promotes Wemiji’s programmes and impact, and supports effective engagement with communities, partners and stakeholders.
